Stampede Road Edinburgh, UK

Stampede Road led by singer songwriter Graeme Duncan and his Edinburgh based band of Daniel Crichton (guitar), Sam Dick (drums) and Harry Fisher (bass).

The four piece spends many afternoons transforming the acoustic tales of Duncan, mixing them with plenty of harmonies, reverbed guitars, and a clubhouse mentality that aims to create the type of folk songs that have been lost since the 1960's.

Track Name: The Island
My summers dream became reality,
The skeptic in my head thought it's best if we leave,
To a place where no-one knew my name,
A place where we can feel the shame,

With the last jewel on the island,
And I'm a fool for the island,

I lost it all one fateful winters night,
I lost it all one time.
Whatever the cost I'll pay the price,
Seems like I've lucked out on life,

With the last jewel on the island,
And I'm a fool for the island,
With the last jewel on the island,
And I'm a fool for the island,

I can't choose you,
but i can't lose you,
The shoreline of my home,
Out to sea alone,
Out to sea alone,
Out to sea alone,
Out to sea alone,
Track Name: The Day
I followed her down by the old factory,
She skipped through the flowers in the warm summers breeze,
Falling down she reaches for a hand,
This is where my summer all began,

The sad grey buildings crumble under the weight,
Her broken heart weakens with the strain,
Can I help you find your future love,
If you don't mind wading through the mud,

If you need a friend,
If you need a friend to hold on to,

I have my troubles don't you care,
Your deep blue eyes seem to run away,
And leave me outside in the cold,
Summer is gone and we're back inside the mould,

5 years on and I still remember the day,
Those walls came down and showed us the way,
To a place we can always call a home,
To a place we can always call our own,

Track Name: This Earth
On the other side of this door,
There's demons I can't fight,
The other side,

Your hands are pressed,
Are pressed against the undersoil,
Of this earth, of this earth,

Can't you be,
At home with me,
With me.
